Aija Romanovska, head of Ogre Municipality's Development and Planning Department, has received significant industry recognition for her long-term contribution to construction projects, including the restoration of Taurupe Manor barn, which won the Grand Prix at the Latvia Construction Annual Award 2025.

Chairman of Ogre Municipality Council Andris Krauja has praised Aija Romanovska's work, highlighting her professionalism, ability to manage complex construction processes, and success in attracting European Union funding. Romanovska has been working for the municipality since 2016, leading the Development and Planning Department, which handles approximately 80 development projects annually, mostly involving EU and state funding, design, and construction. Under her leadership and participation, several significant projects have been implemented, including the construction of Ogre State Gymnasium and sports arena, the Ogre Central Library building, the protective dam and flow structure at the mouth of the Ogre River, as well as energy efficiency and business infrastructure projects. In recent years, special attention has been paid to public participation and the implementation of "Bauhaus" principles in Ogre's development projects. Romanovska has organized public consultations and discussions on urban development projects in Ogre, Ikšķile, Lielvārde, and Jaunogre, ensuring that local community opinions are considered during the planning stage. One of the most notable achievements is the restoration of Taurupe Manor barn, which won the Grand Prix at the Latvia Construction Annual Award 2025. In this project, Romanovska coordinated a team of specialists and was actively involved in developing the exhibition content and historical narrative.
