SIA “CleanR”, a waste management company, has started talks with clients in the Jelgava region about the procedure for removing 507 containers still at their premises. This was confirmed to LETA by CleanR board chairman Valerijs Stankevičs.

He explained that the municipal company SIA “Jelgavas novada KU”, which now serves the Ozolnieki, Cenu and Salgale parishes, rejected CleanR’s offer to rent the missing containers. The refusal was received last week. Consequently, CleanR is now coordinating with clients how to arrange the removal of the remaining containers.

Stankevičs emphasized that the most important thing is to ensure that clients do not suffer in this situation. He hopes the new operator will be able to deliver the promised containers and provide quality service.

As previously reported, from July 1, municipal company “Jelgavas novada KU” provides waste management services throughout the entire Jelgava region. Until June 30, there were two zones: in the first (Ozolnieki, Cenu and Salgale parishes) CleanR provided services, while the second zone was served by the municipal company.

Last year, CleanR had a turnover of €48.982 million, a decrease of 7.1% compared to the previous year, but profit rose by 12.5% to €9.783 million. The company paid extraordinary dividends of €509,289. CleanR was registered in 2004, with a share capital of €1.2 million, and is fully owned by AS “CleanR grupa”.
