Fireworks to light up Ogre's town festival Saturday, with traffic restrictions expected

As part of Ogre's town festival, a spectacular fireworks show will be held on Saturday, August 22, at 11 p.m. near the Ogre municipal building. The Ogre Culture Centre announced the event on social media, alerting residents to brief but important traffic restrictions in the city center that evening.
Closed areas and timing
For safety reasons, the area around the building at Brīvības iela 33 will be closed from 10:30 to 11:10 p.m. Additionally, traffic will be halted from 10:50 to 11:10 p.m. along the stretch from the Kalna prospekts intersection with Brīvības iela to the Tīnūžu iela intersection with Parka iela.
Drivers who need to pass through the city center that evening are advised to plan alternate routes in advance and use other streets to bypass the closed section.
Organizers also urge attendees to strictly observe the barrier tape set up near the building at Brīvības iela 33 during the fireworks and not to cross it under any circumstances, in order to ensure everyone's safety.
