Lively Midsummer Celebration at Origo with Actors from “Skroderdienas Silmačos”

A Midsummer celebration took place at the Origo shopping center, featuring actors from the play “Skroderdienas Silmačos” – with communal singing, a play fragment, and the opening of a photo exhibition.

Lively Midsummer Celebration at Origo

The Origo shopping center in Riga hosted a Midsummer celebration that brought together beloved actors from the play “Skroderdienas Silmačos”. Visitors had the chance to meet Anna Klēvere, Ieva Pļavniece, Lauris Subatnieks, Rolands Beķeris, Emīlija Plone, Uga Gundars, Sandis Dejus, Alise Dzene, Elīna Hanzene, Aldis Siliņš, Samirs Adgezalovs, Agnese Zeltiņa, Eduards Johansons, Kristians Kareļins, Emīls Kivlenieks, as well as the play’s director Gundars Silakaktiņš.

Together with the audience, the artists engaged in communal singing and performed a fragment of the play titled “Zaļā krūze”. During the event, a photo exhibition “Silmaču laiks: tēli un raksturi” by photographer Ieva Romaško was also opened. The exhibition features portraits of the play’s characters, revealing the warmth of the Silmači household and the diversity of personalities, allowing visitors to feel the presence of Latvian traditions and the Midsummer atmosphere in a modern urban setting at the very center of Riga. The exhibition will be on display until June 23.

The production of “Skroderdienas Silmačos” continues its summer tour across Latvia. Upcoming performances include:
