A patient who underwent a scheduled gynecological surgery in the summer of 2020 is now seeking €71,145 in compensation from the Health Inspectorate. The operation was performed laparoscopically using a diathermy scalpel. The following day, the woman was urgently admitted to another hospital, where doctors discovered a defect in the left side of the bladder dome.
The incident led to a lengthy legal battle against the Health Inspectorate, with the patient demanding compensation for her suffering and alleged medical negligence. The hospital's name has been anonymized in the court ruling. The claim amount exceeds €71,000.
