Paris des Arts special edition in Prague: A journey through Czech culture
The French TV show Paris des Arts dedicates a special episode to Prague, featuring provocative artist David Cerny, actor Antonin Holub, and paying tribute to Art Nouveau master Alphonse Mucha.

Paris des Arts heads to Prague
This week, the cultural programme Paris des Arts travels to the Czech Republic to visit Prague, a UNESCO World Heritage city and a major cultural hub.
David Cerny and his “Musoleum”
The show features one of the most provocative Czech artists on the international scene, David Cerny. He invites viewers into his exhibition space, a former industrial site he has named the “Musoleum” – a blend of “museum” and “mausoleum”. “I'm not really a gallery artist. I prefer working in the open air. Since childhood, I've always worked outdoors. I'm not that keen on people coming to cultural institutions to experience art,” Cerny says.
Antonin Holub returns to Prague
The programme also visits the MANA Theatre to meet actor Antonin Holub, who chose to return to the Czech Republic after several years living in Paris. “I really missed Prague. I love this city. This theatre is my little home,” he explains.
Tribute to Alphonse Mucha
Finally, the episode pays a special tribute to the towering figure of Art Nouveau, Alphonse Mucha. His great-grandson, Markus Mucha, gives a tour of his foundation. Mucha “was one of the first artists to see that a woman's beauty doesn't belong to men. It comes from within, from a woman's heart, her spirit, and it radiates outward through her face,” he says.
