After A10 highway crash, TV journalist Danuta Juste says life must not be put off
Television journalist Danuta Juste says a recent crash on the A10 highway, in which a person died, has strengthened her belief that life should not be postponed. The experience made her reconsider what and who matter most to her.

Latvian television journalist Danuta Juste says a recent accident on the A10 highway has reinforced her conviction that living should not be put off until later. She experienced the event as a road user, riding her own motorcycle alongside her partner, who was on another one.
What she saw on the road
Juste saw a car collision happen ahead of them, in which a person was killed. At the moment a car veered toward their direction of travel, she was not thinking about unanswered work emails or unfinished tasks. Her only thought was that her partner should survive, together with a strong wish to hug her children and to live now, postponing nothing.
Conclusions after the experience
The journalist stresses that this does not mean living as if there were no tomorrow. At the same time, she does not want to live as though an endless supply of tomorrows had been promised to her. What she went through has not taught her to live in fear. If anything, it made her think again about which things and which people make her want to enjoy life.
Juste notes that people tend to put off not only big dreams but also ordinary, small pleasures and little things. She wants happiness and joy every day. She hopes to keep living with zest, not because things come easily to her, but because she takes an active part in her own life.
