After Four-Year Prison Sentence, Endzins and Bokane Shocked as Clairvoyant's Prediction Fails

Niks Endziņš, a publicly controversial figure, continues to insist he is innocent after a court sentenced him to four years in prison. The episode was captured in the television show “Slavenības. Bez filtra” (“Celebrities. Unfiltered”), which shows how he and his beloved partner Sindija Bokāne lived through the verdict. The sentence shocked both, as they had relied on the words of a clairvoyant named Sandra, who had said that a change of preventive measure and arrest were not a threat to Niks.

Call from the courtroom

Before he was handcuffed and taken to a detention facility, Niks phoned the clairvoyant to say he no longer believed in the favourable outcome she had promised. He told her that his preventive measure had been changed and that he had been given four years, and reminded her that she had said everything would be fine. Sindija, in tears, added that she no longer believed either. According to Niks, the clairvoyant ended the call.

Conversation before the verdict

Niks had also spoken to the clairvoyant before the verdict was read. He admitted that he and Sindija were very anxious and said the wait was agonising. Although both had considered that the outcome might be unfavourable, Sandra claimed the opposite. She said she was lighting a candle and thinking of him, and when asked whether everything would be all right, she answered: “The money is ahead of you.” In the clairvoyant's view, Niks would get away with a fine. When Niks said the main thing was not to be taken into custody immediately, she reassured him: “That won’t happen, don’t worry!”

Bokane's explanation

Sindija Bokāne does not hide that Niks relied heavily on the clairvoyant's words and emotional support. Off camera, she said she does not know why the clairvoyant convinced them so strongly that everything would be fine. In her view, perhaps a miracle would happen and Niks would somehow be freed; she recalled that the fortune-teller had once said exactly that. Niks then asked her why the clairvoyant had said it.
