After publicly admitting to an extramarital affair, actor David Boreanaz sold his $2.6 million home in the Hollywood Hills and relocated to Hidden Hills, California. While many assumed the move was prompted by the scandal, sources said the decision had been made before the affair became public. The family, including their second child, daughter Bella, born in August 2009, simply needed more space.

Boreanaz, known for his roles in "Bones" and "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," later described the new home as a sanctuary. "It has very good, positive energy," he told People magazine. He called the house a place to leave behind work-related stress, creating a refuge for the family.

The affair was with Rachel Uchitel, previously linked to Tiger Woods, who allegedly blackmailed Boreanaz. In May 2010, Boreanaz confessed to People: "Our marriage has been stained by my infidelity. I was irresponsible." His wife, Jamie Bergman, already knew and the couple entered therapy. "I'm still angry. I'm still furious," Bergman said at the time.

Despite Uchitel's claims that Boreanaz planned to leave his pregnant wife, the couple managed to save their marriage. In 2010, Bergman acknowledged that problems existed before the affair, saying the crisis forced them to fight for what they wanted. "We do the best we can," she said.

Today, the couple is still together, and Boreanaz is returning to television with a new series. The move to a gated community away from paparazzi helped the family heal, focusing on raising their son Jaden and daughter Bella, enjoying outdoor activities, grilling, and swimming.
