Ukraine's top defense industry chief resigns after Russian strike on ammo depot stored next to civilian homes
Herman Smetanin left Ukroboronprom days after a Russian missile hit an ammunition depot that was illegally stored near residential buildings, destroying five streets in Vyshneve.

According to Euromaidan Press, Herman Smetanin has stepped down as head of Ukroboronprom, Ukraine's state defense conglomerate. His resignation came just days after a Russian missile strike targeted one of the company's ammunition depots.
