Petlibro launches AI-powered feeder series with built-in scale for multi-cat homes

Petlibro has introduced the Granary 2 series, a new lineup of automatic dry food feeders designed to give cat owners a more detailed picture of their pets' eating habits, including how much they eat, how long they spend at the bowl, and whether those patterns shift over time.

Four models for different needs

The series consists of four devices priced from $129.99 to $249.99. The base Granary 2 offers app-based control, precise portioning, and intake tracking. The $189.99 Granary 2 Vision adds an AI camera that can recognize up to 10 different cats and monitor each one's individual eating behavior. The Vision Duo, at $199.99, targets multi-pet households with two separate dispensing chutes and bowls. The top-tier Granary 2 X, priced at $249.99, uses AI recognition to deliver individualized portions for pets with specific dietary requirements.

Built-in scale improves tracking accuracy

The standout upgrade across the lineup is a built-in scale that measures not only how much food is dispensed but also how much remains in the bowl, giving a more accurate estimate of actual consumption. The feeder tracks intake, eating duration, feeding frequency, preferred eating times, and eating speed, compiling daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly views within the companion app.

The device offers two feeding modes: Smart Refill Mode, which keeps the bowl topped up with small fresh portions throughout the day, and Scheduled Mode, which allows set feeding times and portion sizes. On the Vision model tested, the AI camera identifies which cat is approaching and opens the feeder only for the recognized pet, a useful feature in households where animals have different diets. The camera provides 1080p video with night vision and two-way audio.

Some advanced features, including certain health-monitoring tools and cloud video recording, require paid subscriptions ranging from $59.99 to $119.99 per year.
