Tanker hit by multiple projectiles off north coast of Qatar, UKMTO says

The UK maritime security agency UKMTO has said a tanker was hit by multiple projectiles off the north coast of Qatar.

The agency also reported a rise in attacks on vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, which it described as a vital waterway.

The information available does not say who fired the projectiles, nor does it give the tanker's name or flag. It also does not mention any casualties or the extent of the damage. The situation is still developing, and further details may emerge later.
