Pilistvere ceremony honors victims of communism and Nazism
Estonia marked the Day of Remembrance for Victims of Communism and Nazism on August 23, with a memorial service at a stone mound in Pilistvere attended by about 200 people from across the country.

Estonia observed its Day of Remembrance for Victims of Communism and Nazism on August 23, a date marking 87 years since the signing of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact.
On Sunday, the Estonian Memento Union, together with the St. Andrew's parish in Pilistvere (Viljandi County), held a memorial service at a stone mound to honor victims of communism and Nazism. About 200 people from every county in Estonia took part in the gathering.
