Many people have experienced that reading a book, watching a movie, or singing a song can improve their physical or emotional well-being. Growing research indicates that cultural activities and participation in the arts can have a significant effect on health and quality of life. This was confirmed by a recent pilot project in Latvia, which organized movement classes for individuals with Parkinson's disease. Participants regularly attended sessions that combined movement with artistic elements. The project's organizers concluded that such activities positively influence patients' well-being, reduce symptoms, and improve daily life. While specific data or measurements were not disclosed, the project demonstrates that art can play an important role in healthcare, especially for chronic conditions. Plans include expanding these classes and conducting further studies.
