First Time in Latvia: Plácido Domingo, Kristīne Opolais and Michael Fabiano to Perform in Jūrmala

A Historic Event in Jūrmala

This summer, the Dzintari Concert Hall will host a special event – for the first time in Latvia, legendary tenor Plácido Domingo will perform. He will sing alongside world-renowned soprano Kristīne Opolais, a Latvian native, and prominent American tenor Michael Fabiano. The concert is scheduled for July 29.

Plácido Domingo – An Opera Giant

Domingo, whose career spans over 60 years, has performed more than 150 roles. He regularly appeared at the Metropolitan Opera in New York from 1968 to 2009 and has led the Los Angeles and Washington opera companies. The singer has won nine Grammy Awards, five Latin Grammy Awards, and two Emmy Awards. He also founded the "Operalia" competition. In a conversation with Opolais, Domingo admitted that he still feels fear before stepping on stage.

Opolais has performed at leading opera houses worldwide, collaborates with renowned conductors, and continually expands her repertoire. Michael Fabiano, a 42-year-old tenor, has won several prestigious US awards. He has performed at the Metropolitan Opera and other major theaters, but this will be his first appearance in Latvia.
