Game developer Cristina Ramos has posted a video on social media showcasing a work-in-progress 3D platformer demo for the Playdate. The clip begins with platforming inside a building and then emerges onto a rooftop, where the character jumps across rooftops in a style reminiscent of Mirror's Edge.

Ramos stated that she was told 3D wasn't possible on the Playdate, and later that exterior levels like those in Mirror's Edge couldn't be done. She challenged both claims and proved them wrong with this demo.

The Playdate is known for its limitations, such as a black-and-white screen and a crank input, but developers like Ramos continue to find creative ways to push the hardware. This demo is a testament to the ingenuity of the Playdate community.
