Poland: Imported Piglet Prices Edge Up, Domestic Prices Unchanged
A survey by the Polish agricultural portal Farmer.pl shows a slight rise in prices of piglets from Denmark over the past week. Prices offered by domestic producers have barely changed.

The Polish pig farming market saw no major changes last week, according to a survey of traders published on 7 November 2026 by the agricultural portal Farmer.pl. Only some companies selling piglets imported from Denmark (known in Polish as warchlaki) raised their prices slightly, by no more than 10 zloty per animal.
Imported piglet prices
Importers' representatives explain the increase mainly by rising animal transport costs. Supply and demand also play some part: farmers' interest in buying has recently grown slightly, as some had earlier held off purchases expecting even lower prices. The portal stresses that the rise is not a general trend and affects only some firms.
Prices of Danish piglets currently range from 150 to 210 zloty per animal, depending mainly on the animals' health status. The average price in the portal's survey is 185 zloty per piglet, which is slightly less than 5 zloty above the previous week. For comparison, at the start of November 2025 an imported piglet cost nearly 300 zloty.
Domestic producers' offer
Practically no changes were recorded in prices of animals offered by Polish producers. For 30 kg piglets they expect 190–260 zloty each, with an average of just over 230 zloty. A 20 kg piglet currently costs 190–210 zloty, with an average of about 200 zloty.
