The Daile music house in Riga presented a new music video for the song "Rudens ogle" (Autumn Ember) on 16 October. The music was written by composer Raimonds Pauls, and the lyrics by poet and diplomat Jānis Peters. The song is performed by singer Gerda Timrota, with Pauls himself at the piano. The video gives the song a visual form, and it features the track in a new rendition.
Start of the collaboration
The song became the starting point of the musical collaboration between Timrota and Pauls. It was first performed in this arrangement at the launch evening of Jānis Peters' book "Dzejnieks. Diplomāts. Cilvēks." (Poet. Diplomat. Person.), where Timrota sang it accompanied by Pauls on piano.
Filming and crew
The video was made in Lapmezciems, where scenes for the film "Ilgais ceļš kāpās" were once shot. It was directed by Valērijs Oļehno, with Gustavs Ērenpreiss as sound director. The camera work was done by Aigars Sērmukšs and Valērijs Oļehno. Editing was by Oļegs Aleksejevs and Onhelo, who also handled colour correction. The photographer is Jānis Deinats, and the producer is Anda Zadovska.
Concerts
The concert "Tu nāc, tu ej!" will be staged at the Daile music house again in October and November. Tickets are available at Biļešu paradīze box offices.
