On Monday, September 14, Latvia's 3x3 basketball national team returned to Riga from Belgium after winning the European Championship title. The players and coaching staff were greeted with a ceremonial welcome at Riga Airport.

This marks Latvia's second European title in the discipline's history and its first since 2017. The achievement caps off an especially strong year for the squad: in addition to the European gold, the Latvian team also won the World Cup in 2026, making it the top-ranked 3x3 basketball side on both the continental and global stage.
