Latvian basketball team Rīgas Zeļļi is set in the eighth pot ahead of the ULEB Eurocup draw for their debut season. The 32 clubs are split into eight pots of four teams, largely based on geographic principles – most French, Spanish, Italian, and Lithuanian clubs are grouped together with few exceptions. Teams from the same country cannot be placed in the same group unless that country has more than four representatives.

In the eighth pot, the Zeļļi are joined by German Bundesliga side Frankfurt Skyliners, Polish club Wroclaw Slask, and Bulgarian team Balkan from Botevgrad – Roka Kondratāvičs' squad will not face these teams during the regular season.

The Eurocup regular season draw is scheduled for July 8 in Barcelona, starting at 1:45 PM Latvian time. It will determine four groups of eight teams each. The regular season consists of 14 games per team (double round-robin). The top four teams from each group will advance to the playoffs.
