A fragment of a drone was discovered on Saturday morning on a beach in the Romanian coastal town of Agigea, according to a report by Digi24, relayed by European Pravda.
Relevant authorities have been notified and will carry out an investigation to determine the fragment's origin.
Pattern of incidents
Over recent months, a number of drone fragments have washed ashore along Romania's Black Sea coast. Most posed no danger, but in late August a fragment containing an explosive charge landed on a beach in the town of Olimp. That beach was evacuated at the time, and the fragment was safely detonated on the shore.
The latest discovery follows another recent incident: on the night of September 26, Romania scrambled fighter jets in response to an aerial target detected near the country's border.
