Free lecture on chronic fatigue, burnout and depression to be held in Rundāle
On October 5, a free lecture on chronic fatigue, burnout and depression will take place at the Rundāle multifunctional center, led by a clinical psychologist. The event is part of a Bauska Municipality health promotion project.

On Monday, October 5, from 17:00 to 18:30, the cultural hall of the Rundāle multifunctional center will host a free public lecture on chronic fatigue, burnout and depression. The event is organized by Bauska Municipality and will be led by certified clinical and health psychologist Iveta Krūmiņa.
The lecture is titled "Chronic Fatigue, Burnout or Depression? How to Restore Emotional Balance or Help a Loved One in Difficulty." Its aim is to help attendees better understand their emotional state in situations where daily rush, prolonged stress and insufficient rest lead to chronic fatigue and negatively affect emotional wellbeing.
What the lecture will cover
The psychologist plans to explain what chronic fatigue, burnout and depression have in common and how they differ, how these conditions develop over time, and what role understanding one's own emotions and needs plays in preventing mood disorders.
The talk will also address how to recognize emotions and respond to them appropriately, as well as how to support someone going through emotional difficulties. It will cover communication approaches that can help in such situations, as well as behaviors by those around a struggling person that may turn out to be counterproductive.
After the lecture, attendees will have the opportunity to ask the psychologist questions and discuss topics relevant to them personally. Participation in the event is free of charge.
The lecture is being held as part of the Bauska Municipality project "Implementation of Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Measures in Bauska Municipality," which is funded by European Union funds and the Latvian state budget.
