Valka Theatre to Perform at Two International Festivals in Lithuania and Brocēni
Valka Town Theatre, marking its 155th working season, has been invited to two international theatre festivals — one in Visaginas, Lithuania, and one in Brocēni, Latvia — presenting two different productions.
Valka Town Theatre will take part in two international theatre events this autumn as part of its 155th working season.
Festival in Lithuania
From October 8 to 9, the Lithuanian city of Visaginas will host the 21st International Theatre Monodrama Festival "Atspulgs" ("Reflection"). Valka Town Theatre has been invited to the festival, where it will present its production of Natalia Moshina's play "The Pink Dress with the Green Belt." Besides the Valka company, the festival will feature theatres from Lithuania and Israel, as well as other troupes from Latvia.
Festival in Brocēni
On October 10 and 11, the town of Brocēni will host the 7th International Theatre Festival "Smiles in Brocēni." Valka Town Theatre has been invited to perform its production of Anton Chekhov's play "The Bear" at this event.
The two invitations highlight Valka Theatre's active participation in international theatre life, giving the company the chance to showcase its work to audiences both abroad and at home.
