Samoilova/Graudiņa Triumph in Majori 'Futures' Tournament
Latvian beach volleyball duo Anastasija Samoilova and Tīna Graudiņa won the 'Futures' tournament in Majori on Sunday, defeating a Danish pair in a three-set final.

Latvia's top beach volleyball pair, Anastasija Samoilova and Tīna Graudiņa, secured victory at the Beach Pro Tour (BPT) "Futures" event in Majori on Sunday. The world champions and top seeds in the tournament beat the Danish team of Clara Windeleff and Astrid Mellmelli (seeded third) 2-1 (19:21, 21:18, 15:9) in the final.
In the decisive set, the Latvian duo took an early 5-0 lead and maintained it until the end, sealing the match.
For third place, the Estonian pair Eva Kuivonen and Liisa Jürgenson, who had defeated Latvians Līva Ēbere and Deniela Konstantinova in the quarterfinals, beat Spain's Marta Marques de Acuña and Adriana Ferro (4th) 2-0 (22:20, 21:16).
In the men's tournament, the second-seeded Ukrainian duo Ivan Datsiuk and Oleksiy Bublyk won bronze by defeating Serbia's Marko Makarić and Đorđe Klasnić (9th) 2-0 (21:18, 21:16).
The competitions featured participants from 24 countries, including Scandinavia, Brazil, Spain, Germany, Poland, Australia, Uruguay, the USA, and Canada. Latvia's top men's pair, Mārtiņš Pļaviņš and Kristians Fokerots, did not participate this time.
In qualification, 16 teams per gender competed for eight spots in the main draw, where 24 teams started. On the Pro Beach Tour ranking, "Futures" events are the third tier, below "Elite 16" and "Challenge" tournaments.
