Satellite imagery confirms destruction of three fuel tanks in Ukrainian strike on Tver oil depot
A Ukrainian strike on the Tvernefteprodukt oil depot destroyed three fuel storage tanks, despite Russian officials reporting only one tank fire.

The consequences of a Ukrainian drone strike on an oil depot in Tver, Russia, are more severe than initially reported. Satellite images analyzed by Radio Liberty's Russian Service, taken on July 11, show that three fuel storage tanks were destroyed at the Tvernefteprodukt facility. This contrasts with the account of Vitaly Korolyov, the acting governor of Tver Oblast, who officially stated that only one tank had caught fire following the attack on the night of July 8-9. The depot is owned by a subsidiary of Surgutneftegas and supplies fuel to a network of over 50 filling stations operating under the same brand across the region. Even prior to the strike, those stations had introduced fuel purchase limits of 20-30 liters per person, and long queues were reported. The Ukrainian military conducted long-range strikes on Russian oil depots in both Stavropol and Tver on July 9, with the Tver facility located approximately 500 kilometers from the front line.
