Many drivers underestimate the importance of engine oil – studies show that over half do not know the differences between oil types, and 30% believe all oils are the same. To address this, German entrepreneur Juri Sudheimer combined German philosophy with Lithuanian production capabilities, establishing the SCT Lubricants factory in Klaipėda.

The company has developed two innovative engine protection technologies – ester (liquid) and ceramic (solid) layers. Esters, introduced in 2019, form a chemically stable protective layer on metal surfaces, especially crucial during cold starts – just 3% esters can reduce wear by up to 20%. In 2025, the ceramic technology using hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) was launched, capable of withstanding temperatures up to 900°C. Combined with esters, it provides double protection under high load conditions.

SCT Lubricants products are sold under the Mannol brand, which has become a popular and affordable alternative to more expensive brands. According to sales manager Lukas Šeirys, success stems not only from the chemical composition but also from a carefully designed system – from packaging to logistics. The Lithuanian factory is one of the most technologically advanced oil production and research centers in Europe.
