Defense infrastructure is a crucial component of national security. In the current geopolitical situation, increasing attention is paid to military bases, logistics facilities, and other strategically important objects that form the foundation of national and NATO collective defense.

Unlike traditional construction projects, companies involved in military infrastructure development face significantly higher requirements. Not only experience and technical competence are needed, but also compliance with strict security standards, information protection regulations, and legal frameworks. In some cases, the suitability of companies and specialists is also assessed by state security institutions.

Oļegs Umanskis, Commercial Director of SIA "SEP", states that participation in defense infrastructure projects confirms the company's ability to work at the highest professional level. He emphasizes that military infrastructure design is an area where quality, precision, and reliability are absolute necessities, and mistakes are not allowed.

Pāvels Rešetņikovs, Design Director of the company, explains that SEP's advantage lies in its broad interdisciplinary team, combining architects, structural engineers, and specialists from various engineering fields. This approach allows for efficient design of complex facilities where security, resilience, energy supply, communication systems, and long-term operation are essential.

The company's experience includes designing industrial facilities, energy infrastructure, data centers, biomethane stations, and other technologically complex projects in Latvia and abroad. The knowledge accumulated from these projects enables successful involvement in defense infrastructure development.

The construction of military and strategic facilities often involves enhanced state supervision and quality control. Design solutions must meet exceptionally high standards in terms of technical quality and risk management.

SEP experts believe that defense infrastructure development will become one of the most significant construction and engineering sectors in the Baltic states in the coming years. Programs related to strengthening NATO's eastern flank and establishing the Baltic defense line will create a demand for high-quality, secure, and sustainable infrastructure solutions. Participation in such projects is not only a professional recognition for the company but also an opportunity to make a practical contribution to strengthening the security of Latvia and the entire Baltic region.
