Sevastopol imposes power restrictions after Ukrainian drone strike on electrical substation
The Russia-appointed governor of Sevastopol announced temporary power restrictions following a Ukrainian drone attack on the city's main electrical substation.
Mikhail Razvozhaev, the Russia-appointed governor of Sevastopol, announced on the morning of June 25 that the city had introduced a "temporary power restriction regime." Outages would be carried out "selectively and as needed," without a precise hourly schedule.
Razvozhaev stated that the restrictions were necessary to relieve strain on power grids outside Sevastopol and "prevent a failure across the entire power system." He urged residents to reduce their electricity consumption and avoid using high-powered appliances.
The measures came a day after Ukraine attacked the city's main electrical substation with drones, leaving parts of Sevastopol without power for most of June 24. In the early hours of June 25, Razvozhaev confirmed that electricity had been restored.
