Škoda sells 6.1% more cars in nine months despite drop in China
Czech carmaker Škoda delivered 812,400 vehicles worldwide in the first nine months of 2026, 6.1% more than a year earlier. The growth came even though its sales in the Chinese market fell considerably.

Czech carmaker Škoda kept growing its sales in the first nine months of 2026, even though volumes in China declined significantly. The figures matter for the wider car industry, because many manufacturers are explaining their third-quarter results by pointing to difficult conditions in the Chinese market.
Global results
Over the period, Škoda delivered 812,400 cars to customers worldwide, which is 6.1% more than in the same months last year. Revenue rose by 3.5% to 23.1 billion euros, while profit increased by 7.4% to 1.9 billion euros.
According to the source, unlike some German brands, for example, Škoda has performed well in its other markets, so it cannot blame China alone.
Europe and Germany
In Europe, the company strengthened its position and became the second best-selling passenger car brand. Germany was especially strong: registrations of new Škoda cars there grew by 15.9% to 178,300 units.
Most popular models
The company's best-selling model remains the Octavia, followed by the Kodiaq and the Kamiq.
