On Monday, trains on the Skulte line will run only as far as Saulkrasti
Following storm damage repairs, trains on the Skulte line will run only between Riga and Saulkrasti on Monday, August 24, with buses covering the remaining stretch to Skulte. Service on most other lines resumes to schedule.

After clearing damage caused by a recent storm to railway infrastructure, carrier "Vivi" plans to restore train services to their regular schedule on Monday, August 24, on the Tukums, Jelgava, Aizkraukle, Sigulda, Daugavpils, Rezekne and Liepaja lines. However, since repair work continues on parts of the network, some services may still be delayed.
Skulte line
On the Skulte line, trains will run on Monday between Riga and Saulkrasti. Since railway infrastructure on the Saulkrasti–Skulte stretch has not yet been restored, passenger transport there will be provided by buses departing from Skulte according to the usual train timetable.
The carrier says bus and train services will be coordinated with each other — if a bus is delayed, the train will wait for passengers, and vice versa, to ensure smooth transfers.
Train service on the Saulkrasti–Skulte stretch is planned to resume by 8pm on August 24, once state railway company "Latvijas dzelzceļš" completes the necessary repairs to tracks and overhead power lines.
Disruptions also on the Ieriki–Valga stretch
Delays are also possible on the Ieriki–Valga stretch due to power supply disruptions. "Latvijas dzelzceļš" plans to resolve these issues by 6pm on August 24.
"Vivi" is urging passengers to check current information via its app or the vivi.lv website before traveling, as the situation may change depending on the progress of repair work. Passengers with questions can call the free 24-hour information line 8760.
