Soft Pink Truth Releases Hypnotic and Hopeful Album on Global Fascism
Drew Daniel of Matmos, under his Soft Pink Truth moniker, has released 'Shall We Go On Sinning So That Grace May Increase?' — a hypnotic and healing meditation on the rise of global fascism, now available on streaming platforms.

The Soft Pink Truth, the electronic project of Matmos member Drew Daniel, has released a new album titled 'Shall We Go On Sinning So That Grace May Increase?'. Despite its subject matter — the rise of global fascism — the record is remarkably beautiful, optimistic, and healing.
Unlike Daniel's previous solo work, which often relied on distortion and house beats, this album trades those elements for a hypnotic and ambient texture. While it still features heavily manipulated field recordings and samples typical of Matmos, they are used to create a more organic and atmospheric sound.
'Shall We Go On Sinning...' leans heavily on live instrumentation and real-time improvisation, giving it a spontaneous feel compared to the meticulous sample-based approach of earlier Soft Pink Truth releases. Daniel describes the album as a celebration of human creativity and art's power to heal.
The nine-track album moves seamlessly from the unsettling drones of 'Shall' to the minimal new-age thump of 'We', the prayer-like 'Go', and the ocean-front ambience of 'On'. The centerpiece 'Sinning' blends abstract saxophone blasts with bells and vibraphones over a simple four-on-the-floor kick drum, creating an undeniable groove. Tracks like 'So', 'That', and 'Grace' continue the journey, while closer 'May Increase' deconstructs the built-up chaos into a final deep exhale.
The album is available now on Bandcamp and all major streaming services, including YouTube Music, Apple Music, Spotify, and Deezer.
