Spain's Interior Ministry announced on Wednesday that evacuation measures have been lifted in all populated areas of Avila province, located west of Madrid. Residents are now permitted to return to their homes after the threat from a forest fire has subsided.

The wildfire broke out in Avila province, prompting authorities to order a preventive evacuation of residents. Thanks to the efforts of firefighters and other emergency services, the situation has stabilized, and the danger to lives and property has been eliminated.

The ministry clarified that the permission to return applies to all previously evacuated towns. Residents are advised to follow further safety instructions and report any signs of the fire reigniting.
