Spanish kit turns Ukraine's Soviet 1960s Grad rockets into precision weapons

A Spanish-developed upgrade kit is transforming Ukraine's aging 1960s-era Grad rockets into precision-guided munitions. The laser-guided variant, specifically designed to resist electronic warfare interference, was created following a direct request from Ukraine.

According to the developer, the system achieves an accuracy of under 3 meters even when facing active electronic warfare measures. This represents a significant improvement over the unguided Grad rockets, which typically have a much larger circular error probable.

The kit allows Ukraine to modernize its existing stockpile of Soviet-era rockets without developing entirely new systems.
