Stallone Defends Nepotism Amid Criticism Over Daughter's Role in Tulsa King
Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone has addressed accusations of nepotism in an interview with USA Today, regarding his daughter's role in the TV series Tulsa King. He argued that parents want the best for their children, but further success must be earned by each person.

American actor Sylvester Stallone, best known for playing the boxer Rocky in the film series of the same name, has responded to accusations of nepotism in an interview with the US newspaper USA Today. The criticism relates to the appearance of his daughter, Scarlet Rose Stallone, in the television series Tulsa King, whose fourth season is currently under way. Nepotism means giving preference to relatives or close associates, and it is often raised in connection with the children of celebrities entering the entertainment industry.
More than the lead actor
Stallone not only plays the title role in the series but also serves as an executive producer. That position gives him a certain degree of influence over decisions made while the show is being made.
The actor's view
In the interview, Stallone was very direct in answering the criticism. He said that, in his view, parents who are unwilling to help their children do not care enough about them, since children must come first. The actor acknowledged that this is nepotism and added that wanting the best for their children is exactly why people become parents, and that they try to give them some advantage.
At the same time, Stallone stressed the limits of such help. In his opinion, parents can only help a child take the first step and open the door, but any later success is something each person has to build for themselves.
