Sunākste to get a container for bulky waste
From 19 October, residents of Sunākste parish will be able to dispose of bulky waste in a special container at “Ozollejas 1”. Tyres, slate roofing and electrical appliances are not allowed in it.
A container for bulky waste will be placed in Sunākste parish, at the address “Ozollejas 1”, from 19 October. Local residents will be able to use it to get rid of larger items that do not fit into ordinary household waste bins. The local newspaper “Staburags” reported on the new disposal option on 17 October.
What is not allowed in the container
Three types of waste are banned from the container: tyres, slate roofing sheets and electrical appliances. These items must be taken separately to a designated place.
How to hand in the banned waste
To hand in tyres, slate or electrical appliances at the designated location, people must first contact M. Caunītis, head of the communal department. He can be reached by phone on 25754204. Contacting him in advance is required, so such waste should not be brought without prior arrangement.
The announcement does not say how long the container will stay at “Ozollejas 1” or at what times it will be accessible. It also gives no further rules on exactly which bulky items are acceptable. Residents with questions can ask the head of the communal department at the number provided.
