Dogs chase off attacker who targeted women in Melbourne park
Six dogs in Melbourne defended two women from an attacker, forcing him to flee; police are searching for the suspect.

A dramatic incident took place in a Melbourne park, where six dogs helped two women fend off an attacker. Footage from one woman’s phone shows the animals chasing the man away, and police are now searching for the suspect.
According to reports, on the morning of July 14, two women were walking their dogs along a river in a local park when a man jumped out of the bushes. He grabbed one of the women, but she broke free. The attacker then turned to the second woman, who also managed to resist.
At that point, the women’s dogs sensed the danger. Six animals of different breeds and sizes began barking furiously and charged at the man, chasing him across the park. One dog jumped up and bit the fleeing man’s leg, tearing his trousers.
In the video recorded by one of the women, the pack of dogs can be seen pursuing the attacker. The man shouts desperately at the animals and tries to hide in a tunnel under a nearby highway. Although he eventually escaped, police have launched an investigation into attempted assault.
The suspect was wearing a black tracksuit and carrying a large, bright blue backpack. He is now being actively searched for.
