It is important not to lose the most important thing — mutual trust and dialogue between the state and the people
The author warns that since 2022, the voice of Ukrainian society has been heard less in state decisions, and calls for maintaining trust and dialogue to prevent internal tensions from being used against the country.

Journalist Sviatoslav Palamar “Kalyna”, in his commentary for Ukrainska Pravda, observes that while watching government changes and ministerial reshuffles, he notices that since 2022, the voice of Ukrainian society has been increasingly rarely reflected in state decisions. He emphasizes that war requires strong leadership and decisiveness, but the state cannot demand from people only to fight, work, and endure. This is a dangerous mistake.
The author points out that Ukraine’s enemies know its history well, including its protest potential and intolerance for injustice and unjustified restrictions. Ukrainians have always been co-creators of their state, so any government must remember that people’s trust is not an endless resource. His greatest concern is that internal disillusionment could be exploited by impostors, populists, and hypocrites who, under beautiful slogans, might channel fatigue, pain, and legitimate discontent into emotional but harmful decisions.
Palamar concludes that countries lose not only because of external enemies but also when societal fatigue is turned into a tool for political manipulation. Therefore, today it is especially important not to lose the most important thing — mutual trust and dialogue between the state and the people. Only these can preserve the unity necessary for victory. He reminds that peace for Ukraine remains a dream, for which defenders pay with their lives every day.
