Thunderstorms Possible in Eastern Estonia on Sunday
Forecasters say thunderstorms are possible in eastern Estonia on Sunday, with rain expected in many places overnight and daytime temperatures of 19–24°C.
Estonian public broadcaster ERR reports, citing the weather forecast on "Aktuaalne kaamera", that the coming Sunday will bring changeable weather. While much of the country can expect rain during the night, the eastern regions may also see thunderstorms.
The night from Saturday to Sunday will be cloudy with clear spells. Rain is expected in many areas, and thunderstorms are possible in the east. Toward morning, cloudiness will gradually decrease and precipitation will come to an end.
At the beginning of the night, winds will be light and variable in direction. By morning, winds will shift to westerly at 2–7 metres per second. Temperatures during the night are expected to be between 11 and 16 degrees Celsius.
During the day, skies will be partly cloudy, with brief showers in places. Southwest and westerly winds will increase to 4–10 metres per second. Daytime highs will range from 19 to 24 degrees Celsius. Forecasters highlighted the eastern part of the country as the main area at risk of thunderstorm activity.
