The Tallinn Administrative Court in Estonia has postponed for the ninth time its ruling in a case in which businessman Parvel Pruunsild and politician Priit Humal are seeking compensation from the state for damage caused to them. The ruling had been scheduled for 29 October but was not delivered, and no new date is known yet.

Anneli Vilu, press secretary of the Tallinn District Court, told the broadcaster ERR that the decision had not been issued on 29 October and had been put off. She said new planned dates for announcing the ruling would be named later.

Background

The ruling was originally expected on 13 July. It was not published by that deadline, and its announcement was subsequently moved several times, in some cases by just one week.

The court had earlier explained the repeated delays by the large volume of the case and the legal complexity of the dispute, as well as the heavy workload of the judge.

The claimants are demanding compensation from the state for the damage caused to them. Until the ruling is announced, the outcome of the case remains unknown.
