Fall 2026 earnings watch: Tesla, SpaceX, Meta and Netflix under the microscope
The tech outlet The Verge is tracking big tech companies' earnings reports and investor calls this fall. Its roundup covers Tesla, SpaceX, Meta and Netflix, along with talk of a possible Tesla–SpaceX merger.

The US technology outlet The Verge is running an ongoing roundup of quarterly earnings from the tech sector in fall 2026. It goes through the reports, listens to investor calls, and assesses which companies are winning or losing and where they are heading next. The editors note that nearly every company now presents itself as an AI company, and that computing power is treated as an asset.
Tesla and SpaceX
Several items concern companies led by Elon Musk. According to Musk, electric carmaker Tesla and space company SpaceX are discussing a possible merger. Tesla's third-quarter revenue was flat. The company says customers will be able to add their own vehicles to its robotaxi fleet next year, and that its Optimus humanoid robot is in production, though The Verge questions whether it is actually ready.
SpaceX, for its part, says strong growth in AI drove a jump in its revenue. Musk says the company will try for the first time to catch the Starship rocket and its booster.
Meta and Netflix
Social media company Meta plans to create a new class of shares to fund its AI push. Meta also said it would have made more than $22 billion had it not had to pay a child safety settlement.
Streaming service Netflix is telling investors not to worry, even though, as The Verge points out, viewers are watching less and less.
The roundup will be updated as more company reports arrive.
