Točs/Auziņš Claim Jurmala 'Futures' Title, Defeat Rinkevičs/Bedrītis in Final
Latvian beach volleyball duo Edgars Točs and Gustavs Auziņš won the men's 'Futures' tournament in Majori on Sunday, defeating compatriots Artūrs Rinkevičs and Ardis Daniels Bedrītis in a three-set final.

On Sunday, the men's 'Futures' event of the Beach Pro Tour (BPT) concluded at Majori Beach. Third-seeded Edgars Točs and Gustavs Auziņš became champions after overcoming top-seeded compatriots Artūrs Rinkevičs and Ardis Daniels Bedrītis 2-1 (21:15, 18:21, 15:12) in the final.
En route to the final, Točs/Auziņš defeated Marko Makaričs and Džordži Klasnics (9th seeds) 2-0 (21:16, 21:12) in the semifinals, while Rinkevičs/Bedrītis beat the second-seeded Ukrainian duo Ivan Datsiuk and Oleksii Bublyk 2-0 (21:17, 26:24). In the bronze medal match, the Ukrainians defeated their semifinal opponents 2-0 (21:18, 21:16).
The tournament will conclude with the women's final, featuring Anastasija Samoilova and Tīna Graudiņa. A total of 24 countries were represented across both men's and women's events, including participants from Scandinavia, Brazil, Spain, Germany, Poland, Australia, Uruguay, the USA, and Canada. Latvia's top men's pair Mārtiņš Plāviņš/Kristians Fokerots did not compete this time.
In the qualification rounds, 16 teams per gender vied for eight spots in the main draw, which featured 24 duets each. In the BPT ranking, 'Elite 16' is the highest level, followed by 'Challenge,' and 'Futures' is the third tier.
