Toronto Marlies Rally to Win Second Calder Cup in Franchise History
The Toronto Marlies defeated the Chicago Wolves 4-3 in Game 5 to win the Calder Cup 4-1, marking their second championship.

The American Hockey League (AHL) has crowned its champion for the 2025-2026 season. The Toronto Marlies claimed the Calder Cup by defeating the Chicago Wolves 4-3 in Game 5 of the finals, winning the series 4-1.
The Wolves jumped to an early 2-0 lead, but the Marlies responded with four unanswered goals by the end of the second period to secure the victory.
For the second consecutive year, a goaltender was named playoff MVP. Artur Akhtyamov of the Marlies received the Jack Butterfield Trophy. Last season, the award went to Latvian goaltender Arturs Silovs.
This is the second Calder Cup in Marlies franchise history, following their first title in 2018.
