Toyota Land Cruiser 250 With Round Headlights: 75th Anniversary Edition for Germany
To mark 75 years of the Land Cruiser off-road vehicle, Japanese carmaker Toyota is offering a limited edition of 75 units on the German market. It is priced at 84,750 euros in Germany.
Japanese carmaker Toyota has prepared a limited-run "75th Anniversary" model of its Land Cruiser off-road vehicle for the German market, marking the nameplate's 75th anniversary. Only 75 units will be available, and the price in Germany is 84,750 euros.
Toyota's press release says that in its anniversary year the Land Cruiser continues to reflect the brand's core values: quality, reliability and longevity. Across sixteen generations, nearly 14 million of the vehicles have been built and sold in roughly 170 countries. Over time the Land Cruiser has grown from a rugged off-roader into a symbol of adventure and prestige, while keeping strong off-road ability.
The anniversary edition
The Land Cruiser 250 is offered in Germany in two versions: the limited "75th Anniversary" and the top-comfort Lounge trim. The anniversary model is distinguished by classic round front headlights, an exclusive Smoky Blue body colour and 18-inch alloy wheels. It has an electronically controlled rear differential lock, a stabiliser disconnect mechanism and other systems that make off-road driving easier. Commemorative souvenirs are included, and a special plaque is fitted in the cabin.
The Lounge version
The Lounge focuses on comfort. It has power-adjustable, heated and ventilated seats, leather and synthetic leather upholstery, a 14-speaker JBL audio system, a head-up display, a digital rearview mirror and 20-inch alloy wheels. A panoramic roof and a seven-seat cabin are available as options. The Lounge starts at 91,990 euros, and its production is not limited.
Technical data
Both versions use a 48-volt mild hybrid system paired with a 2.8-litre diesel engine producing 205 horsepower and an eight-speed automatic transmission. Maximum torque is 500 Nm, the maximum wading depth is 700 mm, and the vehicle can tow a trailer weighing up to 3,500 kilograms. According to the manufacturer, this makes it suitable both for demanding off-road conditions and for everyday use.
