Trump: US fully controls the Strait of Hormuz
US President Donald Trump said the United States fully controls the Strait of Hormuz and will maintain that control, claiming Iran can no longer resist it.

US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday, August 12, that the United States fully controls the Strait of Hormuz. He expressed confidence that this control would be maintained going forward.
Writing on the Truth Social platform, Trump said the US naval blockade is being called a "steel wall" by everyone, and that Iran can do nothing about it. According to him, Iran has neither a navy nor an air force, its remaining soldiers are not being paid, and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has suffered significant losses and is retreating.
Trump added that Iran is no longer the "bully" of the Middle East.
