Trump criticizes England's tactics in World Cup semifinal
Former US President Donald Trump expressed dissatisfaction with England's tactics in the World Cup semifinal, suggesting the team made a mistake by using Harry Kane in defense after taking the lead.

Former US President Donald Trump has weighed in on England's tactical decisions during their World Cup semifinal match against Argentina.
Trump praised England striker Harry Kane, with whom he has played golf, calling him a great player. However, he criticized England manager Thomas Tuchel's decision to sit back after taking the lead, using Kane in a defensive role.
"I think they probably made a mistake making Harry a defensive player. You have to be a little more attacking, right?" Trump said, adding that he might not know much about coaching football.
England took the lead through Anthony Gordon's goal, but conceded twice in the 85th minute and stoppage time, suffering a painful defeat. Both Argentine goals were assisted by captain Lionel Messi.
Tuchel has been criticized for focusing too much on defense after going ahead—he made substitutions, sending on defensive players, but the 'park the bus' approach backfired.
