Water Fun in Ogre Region: From SUP Boards to Geodiving
Ogre region offers a wide range of water activities this summer, including a water park, SUP board rentals, geodiving, and boating at various locations.
This summer, the Ogre region has prepared a rich water entertainment program for both locals and tourists. In Ogre and Ogregals, at the well-equipped Vecupe beach, the water town “Ogres varde” operates, offering visitors a water obstacle park and SUP rental. Notably, a specialized SUP board for people with disabilities is also available.
At the Dubkalni reservoir, you can try a new activity – geodiving, provided by GeoDiving.lv, offering diving training for beginners and experienced divers. For traditional boating enthusiasts, “2airi” boat rental is available in Ogregals, and larger groups can rent a raft on the Ogre River and Daugava. SUP boards can also be rented at “Ogre active”.
In Tīnūži parish, at “Meža Selēkās”, there is the “Wild Wake” wake park with wakeboarding, SUP, and a picnic area. Nearby, “Zibņi” boat rental operates. In Ikšķile, at Rīgas street 30, there is a SUP self-service station using the “Equip” app, while at Peldu street 28, Ikšķile boat rental offers trips with catamarans, boats, or a boat to St. Meinard Island and Death Island.
In Jumprava parish, at “Laimeskrasti”, you can rent electric foil boards (e-foil), SUP, boats, water bicycles, as well as VESPA scooters and e-bikes. Nearby, the “Ezeri” recreation complex offers boat, SUP, and catamaran rentals. In Lēdmane parish, at “Mežalīči”, MMK boat and SUP rental is available. In Taurupe parish, at Plauži Lake, “Laivu māja” rents out boats, catamarans, and SUP boards.
