Short-term rains and thunderstorms expected across Ukraine in coming days
Ukraine's Hydrometeorological Center forecasts short-term rains and thunderstorms across the country over the next few days.

On Tuesday, June 16, overnight short-term rains and thunderstorms are expected in southern and central regions of Ukraine, and during the day locally across the entire country. Night temperatures will range from 8-13°C, in the south up to 18°C; daytime temperatures 17-22°C, reaching up to 26°C in Transcarpathia, the south, and east.
In Kyiv, no precipitation is expected overnight, with local short-term rain during the day. Night temperatures 11-13°C, daytime 19-21°C. According to the Borys Sreznevsky Central Geophysical Observatory, the highest temperature recorded on June 16 in Kyiv was 33.0°C in 1924, and the lowest was 4.3°C above zero in 1909.
On Wednesday, June 17, overnight in the east, and during the day across all of Ukraine except the south and southeast, local short-term rains and thunderstorms are expected. Night temperatures 8-13°C, daytime 19-24°C. In the south, night temperatures 13-18°C, daytime 24-29°C. No precipitation is expected in Kyiv on Wednesday, with night temperatures 11-13°C and daytime 21-23°C.
