Ukraine and Nine European Countries Form Ballistic Missile Defense Coalition
Ten countries, including Ukraine, announced a joint effort to create a European anti-ballistic missile defense system, leveraging Ukraine's experience in countering Russian aggression.

During a meeting of the "Good Will Coalition" in Paris, ten countries announced plans to establish a joint anti-ballistic missile defense capability for Europe. The statement, signed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and leaders from Denmark, France, Italy, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Germany, and Sweden, highlighted the growing threat posed by ballistic missiles.
The nations recognized the need for a comprehensive solution—an integrated missile defense system to deter and neutralize future missile threats. Ukraine's unique experience in defending against Russia's full-scale invasion will be leveraged in developing the system. No timeline for the system's creation was provided, and the coalition remains open to other countries joining.
