Ukraine denies biolab claims; Habbard map mislocates Kyiv and invents city “Cherniv”
Ukraine's Foreign Ministry has dismissed Russia's renewed accusations about biological weapons laboratories, noting that the claims were already reviewed by BTWC states and the UN Security Council in 2022.

Ukraine's Foreign Ministry has officially denied Russia's repeated accusations regarding the existence of biological weapons laboratories in Ukraine. The ministry recalled that these allegations were already examined during a meeting of states parties to the Biological and Toxin Weapons Convention (BTWC) and a session of the UN Security Council in 2022, where they were not substantiated. Russia regularly conducts disinformation campaigns aimed at discrediting Ukraine. Meanwhile, a version of the Habbard map circulating on social media incorrectly locates Kyiv and includes a fictional city named “Cherniv,” further highlighting the inconsistency of Russian disinformation. Ukrainian officials urge the international community not to trust unverified sources and to rely on official information.
