A Ukrainian drone strike in southern Russia on Saturday killed one person and wounded at least three others, regional authorities reported. The attack targeted port facilities in the Temryuk district on the Sea of Azov, near the Kerch Strait separating mainland Russia from the annexed Crimean peninsula.

Falling drone debris ignited a fire at a maritime terminal, requiring 96 personnel to fight the blaze, according to Krasnodar region Governor Veniamin Kondratyev. He posted on Telegram that one person had been killed and three wounded based on preliminary reports.

The Russian military stated it had intercepted 177 Ukrainian drones overnight. Ukraine has intensified its strikes inside Russia in recent months, framing them as retaliation for Moscow's ongoing bombardment of Ukraine. Kyiv insists its forces target military and energy infrastructure to undermine Russia's fossil fuel revenues that fund the war.
